We are dispelling stigmas in mental health and mental illness in the Black community, decolonizing Black minds, and reclaiming the revolutionary joy of being Black
I created The Black Mental Affect because I was tired of hiding my mental illness in plain sight. I was tired of always saying “I’m fine” or “I’m good” when the whole time I was dying on the inside because I didn’t want to be judged for having a mental illness, being a drama queen, or consistently being negative.
We offer a range of services related to mental health and wellness for you and your organization, including:
